Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about me, Hanabi Web Services LLC, or the whole process of hiring a designer or developer?
This page may help. It answers common questions on these topics.
Why do I have to pay a portion or all of the money up front? (before the project starts)
- I have bills to pay and the landlord doesn't understand "but I'll have the money as soon as my clients pay me".
- I need to know you're serious about improving your website. When people start paying money it shows they're committed.
- You know you'll have my full attention, because once you start waving money around I want to make you happy so you'll pay more.
How can I reach you?
I'm always available through email and my contact form. After you become I client I'll give you my email address, phone number, and Skype username so you can contact me those ways. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+.
Do you accept rush jobs?
Rush jobs aren't generally a problem as long as I get all the info and login credentials I need to get started. This will take a few emails and/or calls but I can get started pretty quickly. If I have to put another client's work aside for the rush job or I have to work into the wee hours of the morning I may ask for a higher hourly rate.
Why should I not hire a big agency or business instead?
- You can talk to the very person who will be working on your website (me) and communicate what exactly your needs, hopes, and concerns are.
- You'll know exactly who is working on your website.
- I work more quickly than big businesses who have long processes of scheduling, delegating tasks among team members, paper trails, and so on.
- I cost a lot less than big businesses, because I have very little overhead costs.
